Industry Lead (Finance), Africa Business Summit
Adesoji was born and raised in Nigeria. He studied economics there, at Babcock University, graduating with a first-class honours degree. Early on in his undergraduate years he decided to pursue a career in finance, after many late nights reading about Warren Buffet during internships at Vetiva Capital Management and making his first stock investment. He joined Renaissance Capital as a Sub-Saharan Africa banks analyst in 2010, becoming vice president at 25 years old and rising to Head of Nigeria Research in 2015. In 2015 and 2016, he won Financial Mail’s top analyst award and was nominated in 2015 as Young Person of the Year by Future Awards Africa. He is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers.
As he now looks to make a career transition to investment management, one of the major reasons Adesoji chose London Business School for his MBA is London’s high concentration of global asset management firms. He is an Analyst on the Student Investment Fund (run by the Investment Management Club), MBA Student Ambassador, LBS MBA Student Blogger and Industry Lead for Finance in the Africa Club.
In his spare time, Soji enjoys watching movies and Arsenal football matches, reading books and exploring Asian culinary cultures.
